The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for being hands on, directing, and coordinates activities engaged in repair, maintenance and installation of machines and equipment. Assisting in general repairs and/or rebuilding of production equipment, associated support equipment, and minor repairs to the physical building itself.

Minimum Requirements:

●Education: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one yearrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

●Experience: One to three years’ experience in heat treating or related field.

●Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

●Physical Demands: Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.

●Must have good vision, corrected/uncorrected, for precise reading of equipment.

●Must have experience with welding, cutting, brazing, etc., and working knowledge of electricity.

●Must have general knowledge of hydraulics and furnaces and be able to read and interpret blueprints

●Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, be detail oriented and possess manual dexterity.

●Work Environment: May be exposed to heat, noise, humidity, fumes.

●Must be able to work overtime, any shift and any day of the week.

●Must be able to obtain and maintain status of certified forklift operator.

●Be willing to participate in technical training courses requested or recommended by the Company.

●Desired Experience/Skills: Have a previous heavy machinery maintenance experience, a good general knowledge of firefightingprocedures

Duties and Responsibilities:

●Reviews work orders to determine responsive maintenance priorities

●Works with Production to schedule furnace downtime

●Schedules repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment to ensure continuous productions operations

●Develops and manages preventive maintenance program

●Manages and performs predictive maintenance

●Reviews production, quality control and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities

●Inspects operating equipment for conformance with operation standards.

●Ensures safe response to power outages

●On call to perform maintenance repairs to minimize production down time

●Ensures safe operation of equipment before release to production

●Must follow the delegation of authority when making purchases and is responsible for meeting the Maintenance & Alloy budget

●Must only use approved suppliers for purchase of supplies and approved contractors for purchase of outside services

●Responsible for the monitoring and replacement of thermocouples / carbon probes, plus basic controller maintenance and repair

●Ensure timely calibrations of hardness testers and furnace controllers, performs or assures quarterly completion of system accuracy test, and routine quench oil analysis per CQI-9 standards

●Inventory and maintain stock levels of carbon probes, and thermocouples as applicable

●Brings any unusual problem or irregularity to his/her supervisor.

●Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping procedures.

●Performs all other assigned duties

Physical Requirements:

●Frequent; Standing, bending, lifting, reaching, pulling and pushing.
●Occasional; Walking, sitting, talking, operation of small tools, hoist and material handling equipment.
●Environment; May be exposed to varying levels of heat, cold, noise, humidity, dust and various fumes.
●Required PPE; Steel toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection required in all shop work areas.
